The Burberry SS14 presentation, which was streamed online yesterday, was dreamlike. From the super slick video editing which cut seamlessly from the perspective to perspective to the relaxed, chic and ultra feminine aesthetic constructed for next season by Christopher Bailey, the show was a definite London Fashion Week highlight. Incorporating a spectrum of sorbet shades (and plenty of pink!), figure hugging pencil skirts and a slouchy, more relaxed duster-shaped twist on the iconic Burberry trench, this was a collection which not only spoke of a very modern femininity, but one which also contrasted sporty touches with distinct references to British style heritage, with monochrome stripes and statement sunglasses evoking a mods and rockers flavour. The thing which really struck me about the collection was how accessible it felt; I'm already drawing up my shopping list for SS14, and have picked out a few Burberry inspired must-haves which are already on the high street if you're feeling savvy:

Crossover Blouse in Sea Green, £29.99, Zara/Pink Diamond Quilted Jersey Jacket, £35, River Island/Embellished Pencil Skirt, £80, Topshop/Transparent Clutch Bag, £60, ASOS/Hair Slides, £4, COS/Flower Stretch Ring, £8, Oasis/Pointed Court Shoes, £29.99, Zara/Daffodil Drop Earrings, £24, Anthropologie.

This sea green crossover blouse has just debuted on the Zara website and it's perfect for incorporating a touch of the pastel colour palette into your autumn wardrobe, as well as being ideal for next season too. I also love the vintage inspired shape, so it's a definite must-have for channeling the ladylike chic seen on the Burberry catwalk. This quilted jacket from River Island is real catch-all too- another statement basic to carry from season to season, and judging by the shows I've seen in London over the last few days, pink is still going to be extremely popular for SS14. The pencil skirt was another core component of yesterday's show, and this embellished style from Topshop is a lovely nod to the waspish silhouette which Christopher Bailey created.

The Burberry accessories were as covetable as ever (they're even producing a range of iPhone cases..!), and this clear clutch from ASOS is an instant update to any look- as well as a little nod the the final look of the show. Carrying through the pastel theme to accessories are these hair slides from COS, and this Oasis ring is a real standalone statement piece which pays a subtle little reference to the floral motifs which dominated the collection. The modern heel has proved a core component of a lot of SS14 presentations so far, and this pair from Zara strike me an instant wardrobe classic yet still really contemporary. Finally, these earrings from Anthropologie offer another subtle detail and a hint of springtime chic- perfect if you're not quite ready to surrender to winter just yet!

What did you think of the Burberry SS14 presentation?
