19.02.2012- The stars come out for Mulberry AW12

This morning in London, Claridges played host to Mulberry's AW12 presentation. Whilst I was watching the live streaming of the show from the comfort of my sofa, the front row was choc-a-bloc with stars turned out in their best Mulberry threads to show their support for the label:

In conjunction with Lana's appearance, Mulberry also announced today that they are cementing her muse-like status by naming a specially designed bag after her. Meet the Del Rey...

...yet another thing to add to my Mulberry wish list! There's no official launch date as yet, but keep your eye on the Mulberry website for more information- forewarned is forearmed and all that!

13.06.2011- Monday Must-haves

Hello all! Hope you all had fantastic weekends (despite the ever-changing weather!) and are enjoying the new week so far. Here are my Monday Must-haves for this week: Quite an unexpectedly Topshop heavy post this week, but some beautiful pieces have recently debuted online and I couldn't resist including them. I've probably owned a series of cream blouses with lace detailing since I was about 15 (including a beautiful one from Miss Selfridge which I recently parted company with as it was too big!), but this one from Topshop has well and truly cemented itself on my 'future purchases' list. I couldn't resist including the socks after seeing them in store last week, as they instantly reminded me of the old style school socks I used to wear (although I'm not advocating nostalgia as an excuse to splurge!) 02.08.2010- Heading for the Fall...

It's only the second of August, but already some of the Autumn/Winter collections are hitting the high street. As usual, the British Summer weather isn't really up to much, and I'm already anticipating what I'll be buying to see me through the autumn and into winter. With that in mind, here's my list of top five must have pieces for your Autumn/Winter 2010 wardrobe: The Burberry Prorsum show, where Christopher Bailey showcased a flock of shearling jackets, is surely the show that has launched a thousand high street copies. I've already seen a few good imitations online and on the high street, and the Topshop flying jacket, despite its hefty price tag, sold out in a flash online. 11.06.2012- Kirsty Mitchell's Wonderland

If you've been in London recently and have stopped by Karen Millen's Regent Street store, then you can't fail to have noticed their breathtaking new window installations, celebrating the work of Kirsty Mitchell . Three years ago, whilst still designing for Karen Millen, Kirsty began work on her photographic project Wonderland in tribute to her mother, who sadly died in 2008. Inspired by the stories which Kirsty's mother read to her when she was a child, the finished project is a culmination of her experience in design, costume and photography, and has produced a series of the most beautiful images I think I've ever seen: Aren't they stunning? 12.12.11- Monday Must-haves: The Christmas Countdown

My pick of Must-have Christmas gifts this week focuses on presents which fall under a £50 price tag. Whilst this array of gifts may be a touch more expensive than the under £20 picks I posted last week , I've tried to choose a selection of things which will last and which I think make for really special presents: Whilst this lovely little lot might appear more than a little make-up heavy, Christmas always feels like the perfect occasion to invest in some appropriately festive cosmetics! This gift set from Nails Inc. consists of three beautifully glittering shades, and at £25 is pretty good value considering that their individual varnishes retail at £11 each. Whether you're looking to get a bit more active now the better weather has arrived, or if like me, you've been inspired by the lovely ladies over at Where Are My Knees to lose some weight and get fitter for the summer, this collaboration between Nike and Liberty is perfect for you. I have to confess, I'm not a massive fan of running (the idea of inflicting the sight of me, red-faced and out of breath on the general public combined with the fact that I live in an area which seems to be a favourite amongst the local merry band of winos means that outside running is pretty much a no-no!), but this lovely range of training shoes might just be the convincer I need to get a little bit more athletic. 07.04.2012- What I Wore Today #18

Today my mum and I spent a lovely day at Kensington Palace . It's somewhere I've always wanted to visit, and the opening of the refurbished public spaces provided the perfect opportunity to visit a real jewel in London's crown (if you'll pardon the pun!) I'll be posting about the exhibitions in full when I've sifted through my many photos, but it was really lovely to discover so much about the palace and the amazing range of historical events which it has played host to. 18.10.2010- Days of Wine and Roses

Days of Wine and Roses is an exhibition taking place at London's Heartbreak Gallery until October 31st. The exhibition showcases work by Scottish artist Jack Vettriano, whose painting The Singing Butler became one of the most instantly recognisable pieces of art in the world after being sold for over £700,000 back in 2004. Vettriano's latest exhibition features a range of paintings which beautifully encapsulate the much sought after and much copied glamour of a bygone era: A Very Married Couple Portrait in Black and Pearl Morning News Lines of Beauty Not only do I love the composition and style of Vettriano's work, but I also really like the fact that he takes his inspiration from everyday events, such as reading a newspaper over a cup of coffee, or taking a train ride. The fact that his work in this exhibition is located firmly in the styles of the 50's and 60's also means that the exhibition is well worth a visit to pick up some ladylike wardrobe inspiration. However you're managing your wardrobe in this topsy turvy weather, I'm sure I'm not alone in embracing some bolder-than-usual prints. Whether you're working with a selection of old faithfuls or have used the arrival of the new season as the perfect opportunity to invest in some new pieces, styling snappy prints is something which is synonymous with summer, don't you think?
